Bermiok, 5th March (IPR): The Chief Minister Mr. Pawan Chamling attended the 4th centenary celebration of Mahamati Prannath at Sri Krishna Pranami Mangal Dham Mandir at Namphing Bermiok today. Organized by Sikkim State Shri Krishna Pranami Dharma Sava Samity the program had the presence of area MLA cum Minister Mr. G. M.Gurung, Chairpersons, Officials, Guruji 108 Sri Mohan Prichaya Maharaj, Dharma Guru’s from various places and a large gathering of devotees and public alike.

The CM reiterated that he will be touring villages from April onwards wherein he will also hold a jan sabha in which the queries of the villagers will be attended to. With regards to the Chief Minister's Startup Scheme (CMSS), the CM said that the innovative entrepreneurs will be provided with awards annually.
Speaking, about the significance of Organic Farming the CM, articulated that Organic Farming works to save energy and safeguarding of the environment, reducing global warming and creating a natural environment for the biodiversity to thrive. He also advocated the progressive organic farmers of the locality to avoid leaving the farmlands fallow and preserve the practise of organic farming as it builds and maintains soil fertility. He restated that from 31st March, 2018 the State Government will discourage import of certain vegetables from outside the state. He further notified that the State Government will be granting Rs. 1 crore to the progressive organic farmers who will produce the utmost number of organic produce.
The CM also enlightened the assembled that the State Government throughout the years has given special focus for upgrading the education sector. Education in Sikkim is free up to the college level and that the State Government has consistently worked towards improving the educational standards.
The CM was also felicitated by the organizing committee for his notable endeavour in uplifting the state in various fields. The CM along with the dignitaries released a book written by Dillu Dahal, the book details about the historical background and development of Sri Krishna Pranami Mangal Dham Mandir.
