300-Crore Worth Benefits To Be Distributed In Janta Mela
With an aim to provide the public with immediate relief and direct benefits, since past two decades and half, ruling government SDF has organized the Janta Mela on regular intervals to reach out to the public. The upcoming Janta Mela has been scheduled for January 2019 in which benefits worth 300 crore shall be distributed among the public, informed Minister,
Rural Management and Development Department, Mr SB Subedi.
In a Press Conference organised at state capital Gangtok, only the people who actually require the benefit shall be provided with the same and and the ground work for listing such people has already started, said Mr Subedi. In the Janata Mela this year, 100 houses in each constituency constructed under Mukhyamantri Grameen Aawas Yojana shall be handed over to the beneficiaries. The first installment for the repairing of houses, i.e, 15000/- shall be provided to 1500 families from each constituency. Daily essentials such as LPG Gas Stoves, water filters, cookers, induction cooktops, and many more shall be distributed too.
The Janta Mela shall be organised at different areas around Sikkim. Starting from West District, Soreng covering Dentam, Geyzing and Yuksom. In South Sikkim, it shall be held in Ravangla, Namchi, Joretheng, Yangang. In East, Rangpo, Pakyong, Rongli, Gangtok and in North Sikkim, Kabi, Mangan and Chungthang.
