MMC NEPAL LIFT ALL INDIA GOVERNOR'S GOLD CUP 2018

Gangtok,03 Nov: MMC, Nepal lifted the finals of the prestigious 38th All India Governor's Gold Cup International football tournament 2018 defeating Indian Army (Red) 1:0 here today.
The sole goal of the game came through a penalty awarded in the 37th minute of the second half. Sujal Shrestha jersey number 11 and captain of the Nepalese club scored the penalty.
A total of 12 national and international teams participated in the knockout tourney that began at Paljor Stadium, Gangtok on 23 October organised by Sikkim Football Association (SFA).
Manang Marshangdi Club (MMC),Nepal had defeated ISL team Atletico Kolkata to reach the finals while Indian Army (Red) defeated Aakraman FC,Sikkim in the semi finals.
Sikkim Governor, Ganga Prasad presented the prestigious Gold Cup and a cash award to the winning team.
