The Sikkim Aam Bihari Kalyan Manch organized a Plantation Program in the Rangpo IBM Indrakil Nagar. In the presence of Area MLA, Mr Gopal Baraily, the program also saw the presence of SDM Rangpo, Mr Prem Kamal Rai, RNP Vice President, Mr Lal Kumar Rai, Ward Councillor, Mrs Savitri Pradhan, representatives from different organizations, and the local public. ABKM President, Mr Choteylall Prasad, Secretary, Mr Tanvir Ahmed and the members of the Manch also marked their presence in the preogram aimed at creating a 'Clean Sikkim, Green Sikkim'. Reports state that the plantation has been organized at the same spot wherein Sikkim Bihari Jagran Manch planted saplings some day ago. The planted saplings being destroyed by stray animals due to lack of protection, this time ABKM has put fencing aroud their saplings thus making a green park.
The vision of 'Clean Sikkim, Green Sikkim' is not possible until we focus more on taking care of the planted saplings instead of planting new ones day in day out.
