Sikkim Road Accident - One Killed and One Injured as Vehicle Plunges 900 Feet Down a Cliff

A driver was killed on the spot and an occupant injured after the vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident and plunged approximately 900 ft down a cliff near Phengla, East Sikkim at about 9 pm last evening.

The driver, identified as Dinesh Darjee (37), R/O Arithang succumbed to his injuries on the spot while the other occupant sustained injuries and was evacuated to STNM Hospital, Gangtok for medical attention.

The vehicle was reportedly plying from Phodong to Gangtok with two occupants in it.
