"Came in as a guest, but leaving as a family member"
The legend A R Rahman bid off a 'good-bye' to Sikkim today after a 3-day long stay in the state. He was declared as the Brand Ambassador of Sikkim in the opening ceremony of the Red Panda Winter Carnival at Palzor Stadium on 8th Jan 2018 by Hon'ble Chief Minister, Mr. Pawan Chamling. In his address at the stadium, Rahman described Sikkim to be an example of authenticity, peace and beauty.
He also visited MG Marg, Gangtok on the very day and attended a Press Conference at Mayfair in the evening. In the Press Meet, he expressed his happiness and enthusiasm towards promoting SIkkim and its tourism to the next level.
He also visited Tsomgo Lake and other places of Sikkim before he finally returned today.

He shall be back to SIkkim in April.
With A R Rahman becoming the Brand Ambassador, Sikkim joined its name with the North Eastern states who have roped in celebrities as their Brand Ambassador for promoting tourism recently. Priyanka Chopra- ASSAM & John Abraham- Arunachal Pradesh.
