Lions Club of Rangpo Dist. 322 F had organized the Peace Poster Contest for 2017-2018 in the theme of “The Future of Peace” at Little Bells School compound , Rangpo, East Sikkim.
Each year Lions Club across the world sponsors the Lions Club International Peace Poster Contest in local schools and youth groups. This art contest for kids encourages young people worldwide to express their vision. For more than 25 years, millions of children from around 100 countries have participated in the contest. This year 4 surrounding schools had participated in this contest Juhi Kumari of Little Bells School, Rangpo was selected as the winner from this zone, Asha Rai from Rangpo Mining Senior Secondary School adjust runners up and Angilina Pradhan of Little Bells School adjust as second runners up. Winner will contest in the district level which is to be held at Siliguri , West Bengal.
Founding President of Sikkim Tamang Youth Society and a social worker Shri Suresh K. Lama had graced the occasion as a Chief Guest and at the same time he had judged the contest also. Associate Editor (Video) of Sikkim News Shri Deepak Gurung was also present there as one of the jury for the contest.
Present in the occasion President Lions Club of Rangpo Shri V.K. Nigam, Principal of LBS Shri Jonha Bal, Shri C.B. Gurung, Shri Mangilal Jain , teachers from different schools and the members of Lions Club of Rangpo.
The programme was coordinated under the Chairperson Lion Namita Chettri were welcome speech was addressed by Lion Chitramani Khawas and vote of thanks by Lion and Senior Journalist Shri Sanjay Agrawal.
